First Post!

I am so excited! My first ever post! I have been thinking about blogging for some time now, but I recently read a blog that made me want to go for it! She took all her blog entries and got a book made for her son. The only thing that I hate about the whole thing is WHY have I not been doing this since I found out I was pregnant?

Just to catch you up about my life:

Todd and I met in May 2004, we were married on March 05, 2005. It was the best day of my life, I love Todd so much, it is amazing to see the partner that God chooses for you and how wonderful it is when you find that one person!

In January, while I was in Philly on a business trip, Todd called me with very dreaded news....we were moving! I was trying to take things in stride, but I was so upset. Anyone that knows me knows the love I have for my family. But, sometimes, we do things we do not want too...so we Moved to Gadsden. Ugh, Gadsden...I don't really have any photos to share, but believe me....it was nothing special! Todd became the Manager at Wells Fargo and I started to work at Long's Furniture. That was the best thing about Gadsden. I love working with furniture! I love the people that I worked with and it made it seem like I was not too far from home. Todd and I both were a bit miserable being so far from home, so he started applying for positions closer to home. Then he got an interview with AmSouth Bank. We kind of joked about it and thought it was a long shot...Of course, my man got the job! So we were moving again!

By May, we were living in Mt. Pleasant, TN. I liked it there...we had a cute apt over a The Pizza Place downtown. Of course, I can not find ANY photos of my place there. I was a work at home wife. I had my office set up and I worked doing phones and invoicing for the furniture factory. It was no time at all before Todd and I decided to take a huge step....we bought our first house!!

My House | amelia

It needed a lot of work, and we did most of the work ourselves. When it was overI was thrilled with the final product. We were closer to home and we could see our families as much as we wanted (or as little, lol!). Of course, in true Todd and Amelia fashion, we were getting ready to move again! Todd was offered a job right in Muscle Shoals! We wanted to get back home so badly, and this was our chance. Hindsight is always better than foresight...shortly after accepting the job the housing market crashed. So here we were...stuck! Todd was living with my mother in Alabama. During the week, I was living in TN, alone, going to school. This was a pretty rough time on the both of us...I began to think we would never sell our house. Of course, almost 3 years later and I am still not sure we will ever sell it! God is in control, we just have to remember this...it will sell one day! Let's pray really really really soon!

Todd and I were enjoying our lives together, but we just knew something was missing! We waited for a long long long time, but we were finally blessed with a positive test! It took us a LONG time to get there...but it was well worth the wait!

August 4, 2009 was the best day of my life! I will save the birth story for another day...but her are some photos of the best, most important day of our lives!

On our way to the hospital

First family photo. Please excuse my horrid looks, I had literally not slept for 32 hours at this point! Right after the birth.
Addie's and Jay's first meeting
This is too sweet not to post, Joanna was in the hospital...right down the hall from me...she had to have surgery, but I swear she was more worried about me than herself (as she always is!)! I instructed the nurses that before they took J David to get his bath, they BETTER stop at her room! The whole time I was in labor, I was probing the nurses for information about her and she was probing for info about me! Looks like he loves his Nana! So little!!

The past nine months have been a total whirlwind! I can not believe that my life is this wonderful! I could not ask for much more than what I have right now! I have the best kiddo in the world, great family, and fantabulous friends!
