Blogging again!

I am going to try this blogging thing out one more time! I really want to do it, I just can't seem to keep it up. But why not, right?
It has been over a year since I last blogged. This have been insane! I started my photography business in June of last year and things have been growing ever since! I opening my studio in February, it is so amazing. I wish I could go there daily, but I am so blessed to be able to stay home with my little man most days!
Jay David will be turning two in just a couple of weeks. WHAT? TWO!?!?! I am amazed that my little man has grown so much. He is turning into a true and true toddler. He is talking up a storm and getting into everything imaginable.
He loves "fishes" and trains right now. He is kind of obsessed. I am currently fixing up a play room for him and about to start his bedroom. We chose Thomas the Train for his bedding, I am not in love with it, but he LOVES it...that is all that matters, right?
Todd is doing great, he received a promotion in January and now runs the main Regions branch in Florence and Killen. Hunting season is sneaking up on us fast, so soon we will be covered in camo around here! I have agreed to go on a hunting trip with his this year. We will see how that goes or IF it happens!
This last year has been an exciting time in our lives. It has also been hard for me. I have not seen my father since Christmas, which has been difficult to deal with and my PaPaw died. I have never went through something so hard in my life. We spent Sunday May 8 (mother's day) over at their house to celebrate my birthday and Mother's Day. He was so excited, he decided that he was going to eat what he wanted, his sodium had gotten critically low and he were having Taco Salads, something he loved! May 11th he went into the hospital and didn't make it out. He died in his sleep, I was the last person that talked to him. It has been hard to think that when I left his side (everyone was already asleep) he was dying. I told him how much I loved him and he raised his head and nodded, perhaps he was just getting comfortable, but I like to think he knew what I was saying. I had just gotten home and my called to tell me the news. It was really so hard. I think about him all the time and I think that Jay David misses his PaPaw. He asks and talks about his all the time. My last photo with him:

OK, this is a short post here! I have to get back to the play room, I will update again soon! I leave you with the cutest little boy in the world!

Fun Times!

So I have not updated in forever! Things are crazy about our house these days. Jay David is literally into everything, I am constantly running after him...getting things out of his mouth, getting him off the gate on the stairs, and keeping him out of the toilet. He barely lets me cuddle him unless he is tired...my little baby is fading away into a little man. Independent as all get out. He is doing so well with everything! Talking up a storm, although I can not understand alot of what he is saying! He can say: Hi, hey, bye-bye, thank you (just said it tonight).

His first birthday is sneaking up on us so quickly! I can not believe that it has been a year since he entered our lives! Planning his birthday party has been so much fun! We are doing an alphabet zoo theme and it is SO cute! He got a little taste of birthday cake this past week...he loved it!

Gabby, Jay David, and I went to the splash pad a few weeks ago! It was so much fun, but Jay David was on the fence about it. He would laugh and cry and laugh and cry!

July 4th was fun, he got his first taste of being on the river (everyone who knows me knows I am not usually a fan, but I enjoyed the jet skis so much!) Sorry there will not be any photos of the three of us on the jet ski, this momma is too embarrassed for all that!
We had a date with a fellow BBC photog momma! L and Jay David are only 5 days apart and they because fast friends!

Now, I am sure that you are on cute overload...but just to send you over the edge:

Well, internet, I promise to be a better blogger and come around a little more!

Oh, Summer!

Well, it is totally summer. I can not believe how hot it is outside. HOT HOT HEAT! Yesterday is was 100*, no telling what the realfeel was like! I wanted to go swimming, but it is too hot to get Jay David out, I think.

Jay David and I had a total blast at the beach. But it was hot there too, lol! We drove down Wednesday night. At times it was a little stressful, Addie and Jay David did really well, but if one got upset the other got upset! We stopped by the mall, did some shopping and got back on the road.

We stayed on Ono Island, it was SO nice! Melissa and I were lucky enough to be staying in the basement area...great view out to the bay and not as loud. We went outlet shopping in Thursday (super fun times!). Jay David got tons of new clothes! Then we went to Lambert's. So good!!!

We made a stop by target and Jay David could not handle it...He had enough! This was too cute not to show!!!

Later that day, while Melissa and Addie were napping it up (J David was not having any of that, lol), I tool Jay David out to the beach to see what he would think of the sand, he was not really crazy about it...At all!!

Momma, get me now please!!!

Covered in sand

Eating that night:

Addie was hamming it up and making boy friends!

Aren't we a cute pair?

Wore out!!

Still hates the sand!

All and All is was a great trip! I was ready to get home and see Todd, I missed him something awful! Although, when we got home, I really didn't even talk to him! Jay David and I both went straight to bed and slept for over 12 hours!

The next day, I had to head to birmingham for the night. My dad had surgery at UAB, he had a TIPS done and it seems to be very successful.

I am planning Jay David's birthday party now! I can not believe that he is almost one, when did that happen??? I have been busy taking photos for people, which I am loving! It is so exciting to have people actually want me to take their photos! I love it!
